School Year Begins: Wednesday, September 1^st 

October Mid-Term Break: October 25^th to October 29^th (inclusive) 

Christmas Break:   - Closing on December 23^rd

                             - Re-opening on January 10^th  

February Mid-Term: February 21^st to February 25^th (inclusive)  

St. Patrick’s Day: Thursday, March 17^th  

Easter Break:  - Closing on April 15^th

                       - Re-opening on May 3^rd (Including Bank Holiday) 

June Bank Holiday: Monday June 6^th   

End of Year: Thursday, June 30^th 
 
 
 
Notes: 

1. There may be additional Teacher In-Service/School Development Planning Days. These dates are announced by the Department throughout the school year. You will be informed at the earliest opportunity.                                                                                
2. Parents/Guardians are actively discouraged from taking holidays outside of the above holiday schedule. The school is obliged, by law, to inform the National Education Welfare Board when a pupil is absent  for a total of 20 schooldays in one school year or where there is a concern about a pupil’s attendance. There is a direct link between school attendance and pupil progress. Your cooperation with maintaining high attendance and punctuality is greatly appreciated. We look forward to another great year together!
3. Staff Meetings take place on the last Thursday of every month. On Staff Meeting Days, ALL  Infant children go home at 11:30 a.m. and ALL other children go home at 11:45 a.m. Your punctuality is necessary and greatly appreciated
