Official Opening
Just to keep you updated on our continuing plans for the Official Opening of our New School Building which will take place on Monday 18th June 2012. The Minister for Education and Skills Ruairí Quinn TD will officially open the school building. In addition to inviting PTA representatives we will invite one parent from each class to represent their child’s class. Your child’s class teacher will contact the parent randomly selected by the organising committee to confirm their availability. The organising committee is busy preparing for the event and their work is very much appreciated.
Reminder:SETNS Open Evening Monday 18th June 2012
Our Open Evening will also take place on Monday 18th June from 5.30-7.30pm. We invite all of you to attend The SETNS Open Evening to get a flavour of the Official Opening morning event,as well as the opportunity to come together as a school Community.
Sports Day Friday 8th June 2012
Parents and guardians are invited to attend Sports Day which will be held in St. Colmcilles GAA Club from 10 am. Blue mats will be laid out on the ground for the SCHOOL CHILDREN ONLY as it can be difficult for teachers to supervise if parents are in amongst the children. Photographs will be taken by Staff on the school camera and posted on our website. As not all parents have given permission for their child/children to be photographed, please do not take photos of children on the day. Your child should wear suitable clothes and footwear, sunscreen and have adequate drinks for the duration. We look forward to a fun filled Sports’ Day.
Gaeltacht May 2012
6th class pupils received a warm and hearty welcome home from their Gaeltacht trip. I would like to thank Eibh,David and Emma for giving up their week to accompany the 6th class children to Donegal and making the trip such an enjoyable one. Míle buíochas!
Mini Marathon
Mini Marathon runners for this year recently attended our whole school assembly and introduced themselves to their classes. Please continue to support this event by sponsoring the Mums and Mary who will run for us again this year!!!
